Moonraker

‘Goldfinger’ is the seventh novel in Ian Fleming’s James Bond series. The novel features the eponymous character Goldfinger; a wealthy and obsessed gold smuggler. Bond has to battle against him after stumbling across his smuggling operation during an assignment for M16 to investigate gold smuggling from Europe.

The story begins with James Bond receiving a file from MI6 about Auric Goldfinger, a British national living in the United States. The file warns that Goldfinger is suspected of working for Soviet intelligence. Bond is given the task of his gold smuggling operation, but uncovers that Goldfinger has ambitions beyond mere smuggling.
