Le Morte D'Arthur: Volume I
Le Morte D'Arthur: Volume I
Le Morte D’Arthur is a story based around King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table that tells about their adventures and quests. There is no real cohesive plot, but rather the stories start and end abruptly. The book is fundamentally about knightly valor and courtly love.
There are many adventures that happen with a cast of characters containing some already introduced knights as well as newcomers. The work describes Arthur’s lineage and his royal upbringing, pulling Excalibur from stone, fighting against eleven kings to take control of Britain, building his castle-city Camelot and gathering Round Table companions and their quests.
The book is split into 21 parts across 2 volumes; each part has a different story about King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Some stories have multiple sections in one part, while others are split across multiple parts.
