From Russia with Love

‘From Russia with Love’ is the fifth novel in Ian Fleming’s James Bond series. The book begins with James Bond being sent to Istanbul to extract a Soviet defector with a working cipher decoding machine. Bond's mission is to simply take the machine, but there is much more at stake.

Unbeknownst to MI6 and Bond, the SMERSH agency, a Soviet counter-intelligence group, is behind the defection. SMERSH has no intention of letting Bond return to London with the decoder.

‘From Russia With Love’ along with 'Dr. No' and ‘Goldfinger’ are considered Fleming's three most famous novels - The Big Three.
